 Executive President

            Linda Rohman, RN

Mt. Scott Internal Medicine Advice Nurse
lrohman@ofnhp.org, 503.953.3127

Linda has been an RN for 12 years, working in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings. Her nursing career started as a float nurse in a small community hospital in Illinois, from which she transferred to a larger tertiary care hospital to become an acute inpatient dialysis nurse. During the past 8 years at Kaiser, Linda has held the positions of Regional Advice Charge Nurse and Advice Nurse at Mt. Scott Internal Medicine.

Linda is thrilled to be leading a great team of professionals who bring a vast amount of leadership and bargaining experience as well as an exciting vision for the future of our union. She is committed to developing a transparent and democratic union where diversity of opinion and every member's voice are valued.

Executive Vice President
Elex Tenney, MSW
Medical Social Worker, Primary Care Adult Medicine, East Interstate

Elex has been a Medical Social Worker at Kaiser for 24 years. She describes the highlight of her time with Kaiser as when the Pro Bargaining Unit was formed at OFNHP. This process took 10 long months of negotiations until they signed their first contract in February 2002. Elex and many others worked very hard for years to organize the Pro Bargaining Unit.

Elex has served on two contract negotiating teams for OFNHP, and has been a union steward since 2002. She has served as President of the Pro Bargaining Unit, on numerous partnership committees and on OFNHP Executive Board committees.

Elex continues to be committed to the vision of a strong union that is democratic, fully representational, inclusive and protective of all its members.

Executive Secretary
Samantha J. Owens, RN
Cardiovascular Unit, KSMC

Samantha has been a Kaiser employee since 1997, a union steward for 10 years, and has been actively involved in many hospital partnership committees.

Sam is very familiar with our union's contracts, by-laws, and constitution. Her activism has involved participation in the campaign to unionize Legacy nurses, OATS (organizing action team), RN staffing ratio testimony, and public disclosure legislation. She has served as Co-chair of the KSMC Steward Council and as a member of the unit partnership council.

Samantha believes our greatest power as a union is in the unity of all our members. She is committed to building solidarity and to a member-driven union.

Executive Treasurer
Meg McGowan-Tuttle, RN
Oncology Med/Surg, KSMC

Meg has been an oncology RN for 29 years. She worked for 15 years at Bess Kaiser Hospital and for the last 14 at KSMC. She has been OCN certified since 1995 and has been a charge nurse for 12 years.

During the Kaiser strike of 1988, Meg felt compelled to become more involved in the union. She has been a steward for 19 years, has been on four local negotiating teams and participated in the the first national negotiations in 2000. She also went back to Washington D.C. in 2000 to participate in a press conference with the CEO of Kaiser, the president of the AFL-CIO and two other labor negotiators to announce the first labor/management agreement at Kaiser Permanente.

She has been active in her UBT since inception and regularly attends the Sunnyside Steward Council. Meg believes that members must participate in the decisions that affect their working conditions and job security and feels this team of candidates is dedicated to seeking out that input from all members who want to be involved.
